If you are doing due diligence and/or are ready to get started with your project, one of the things you will need to do is have a geotechnical site investigation. Soils samples are collected, sent back to the lab for examination and a soils report is prepared by an engineering firm of your choice.  If you don't have an engineering firm to work, we have several local firms we can refer you to.
